Métox Inc. complements the services offered by Tecosol Inc. in environmental site remediation by providing treatment services for soils with inorganic and/or mixed contamination.
The Vision and Mission
The main mission of Métox inc. is to commercially market the METOX® process. The process is applied ex situ on site by means of mobile treatment units.
Thanks to the commercialization of the METOX® process, an effective and competitive solution now exists on the North American market for the treatment of soil and/or non-hazardous residual materials (NORM) affected by inorganic (metals) and mixed (organic and inorganic) contamination.
To date, the most widespread management alternatives on the market remain stabilization/solidification and landfilling options without reclamation/recycling options.
Métox Inc. represents an important technological advance in the field of soil treatment and/or NORM in Quebec and in North America in general. It offers individuals, businesses, municipalities, provincial and federal governments a new alternative to the landfill option for the management of mixed contamination in soils and/or NORM.
A Competitive and Eco-Responsible Solution
METOX® technology is adapted to many problems and represents a competitive and eco-responsible solution.
Métox inc. offers a treatment service for:
Soils with inorganic (metals) or mixed (organic and inorganic) contamination
Soils affected by non-hazardous residual materials, regardless of the proportion of NORM, and having inorganic and/or organic and/or mixed contamination
NORMs with inorganic and/or organic and/or mixed contamination
Treatment operations can be carried out on site, thus avoiding the transport of contaminants over hundreds of kilometres to landfill sites
Residual fractions generated as a result of the treatment are revalued
Almost all of the process water used is recirculated (>99.8%) and treated directly in the plant
METOX® technology is known and followed by the MELCC
